| Other Info | Ben Mellor is a poet, writer, musician, actor and cyclist. Here the BBC Slam Poet Champion presents an “in progress” version of his new work, following a short residency at Dartington’s Schumacher College. Climate Change Myths is a spoken word cycle comprised of seven character monologues, each of which provide a modern take on a myth that relates to our understanding of climate change: The Garden of Eden; The Flood; Revelation; Gaia; Medea; Prometheus/Babel and Themis/Jubilee. A humourous, powerful and lyrical account of human responses to climate change, Climate Change Myths also reminds us of the continued importance of story in understanding our relationship with the world in which we live. The performance will start with a screening of Dr. Stefan Skrimshire’s short film Beyond a Tipping Point.
